guess who's back....back again...i'm back..tell a friend!
lame rite? well...i guess its really true my brain left me the moment i lost my hair!
army's terrible! ok la...honestly its not as bad as i tot it would be...but its really mentally tiring! they train u to ur rotten bones everyday n u are supposed to be given 7 hours of sleep to recover.is 1030 to 430 7hours?its only 6! budden the thing is...i sleep at 11 plus each nite n wake up at 430 each morning jus to get ready for the nxt day sia...if not i'll be tekan-ed! what stress!
nevertheless...army rox.in case u didn't know, i'm in Leopard! leopard 4, section2, bed 10.whoever told you leopard is a slack company got the story HALF right.leopard is not a tekan company, unlike the likes of mohawk, taurus n viper..but certainly not a slack company like hawk or scorpion (no offence to ppl there...but u know urself sia.haha). being a company run by Warrant Officers (go find out what that is urself), we have specialist, most of them airborne rangers n guards, with more den a decade of experience as platoon commanders.naturally they will be more relaxed den NSF who happened to come out of OCS and are in their early 20s because they know what's important and what's not.but dun forget, Leopard is the reigning Games Day champ (games day duno y only got tug of war) n the reigning drill competition team champion of school 2.so they bound to have standards to meet, rite? u can't slack and win both can u? so in a nutshell, leopard company is all about meeting standards. once u reach or exceed the sergeants and platoon commanders' standards, they will let you off the hook. if not, they will f*** you so hard up ur behind till u reach orgasm.haha...things i learn in the army.
in anycase, the first few days of army life is totally unbearable. i miss all the perks of being civilian, n i can't sleep properly for the 1st 2 nights. the food is very good comparing to the days gone by, budden again its certainly not up to match to any hawker centre.the chicken rice on the 1st afternoon which the parents had the chance to taste was considered one of the best i hav had in tekong, but my mum said its the worst she has ever tasted, so u can roughly figure what i have to endure in tekong la..
due to the carbohydrates overload everyday n fibre intake frm lots of vege and fruits, ppl tend to grow fat n shit alot.haha...since coming to tekong, i've spent an average of 5 minutes per "bombing" session sia! n that's like how efficient! haha...though after each visit i still feel like going for another one la.haha.each bath takes less den 10 minutes, and brushing of my teeth has never been more toothbrush-damaging in my life.that's army life for u!
water is life, according to some army poster.that means i drink alot!! everyday we drink 8 litres of water...n its so much that some ppl actually vomitted cos of drinking a litre at 525 in the morning la.i drank so much i constantly feel like peeing n my sweat taste of plain water.haha.so ppl out there, please practice gulping down water!
the pt sessions are tough.like 2WO pandian said, pt is supposed to be tough, cos no pain no gain. if its not painful, something is not right with YOU! haha...so naturally it hurts.the sun hurts alot too..somehow the clouds gather around tekong and fly past tekong most of the time.its can be so hot that the "heat alarm" of tekong actually went off on the day of my ippt test la...it was like going a siren tellin ppl the weather is too hot!cool!
speakin of ippt test, i failed! darn! to ppl who are waiting to get enlisted, u have to be able to do abt 10 normally to make 6 in the army.duno y...haha.i did only 4 n the sgt refuse to count 2...when the passing is just 6! hell!! passed everythin else though...haha.got atleast a B for everything else except dreaded pull ups.
bcct training (basic close combat training) is one thing you DON"T wanna look 4ward to.its like...total body killer! u wear ur pyjamas of a uniform and get f***ed so hard ur hands n legs shake when u stand at ease.hahaha...abit exaggerating but u get the idea la rite?
the best part of the 2 weeks? route march! its the single most tiring n gruelling thing ever! with your FULL BATTLE ORDER (ur full field pack, sbo n helmet with rifle slinged arnd ur neck) u hav to march (means keep in step!) for inhumane distances! its really mentally tough sia...u hav to push urself alot to complete the 6km one..haha.no joke!
haiz...life as a civilian rox...i miss civilian life, my voice, my hair, sleep, proper shower, toilet seat, toilet bowl, humanity, civilisation...and i'm goin back in on sunday! grrrr...the only thing that keeps me in the drill competition team is pride and honour.n that's what i must have!
oh well...dun bore u guys too much abt army life..haha.dun say i nvr updated...though i dun have a gf like most guys do (hence i'm always left w/o any1 to call or msg..that sux totally!) but i guess this 2 years will be a funfilled one! peace~!
