haha..i'm a 4% loser..sux! but still "Definitely not a loser - You're cool by us " accordin to the website.."4% are cooler, and96% are more of a loser than you".whatever that means la yea? (army life really makes u stupid..i haven't read a proper magazine other den FHM or Maxim in like...3 weeks!) in any case...jus try it out yea? budden again...i'm a 10% nerd!! haha..which means "90% scored higher (more nerdy), and 10% scored lower (less nerdy)." haha
booked out again yesterday afternoon with this endless cough the entire company still has..even 2WO Lim Chin Yeong thinks that its a cancer ward!haha.after a week of rather slack activities (if u consider strength training, pt, ippt skills training n the likes slack la) i'm back! but to be honest..it was relatively slack thanks to IMT shooting. for those in npcc who are readin this...the M16 is totally unlike a pistol! i'm not stating the obvious, i meant the method of aiming and shooting.duh!
i'm (i'm not bragging..i'm jus stating a fact k!) a marksman for the .22" revolver and a somewhat proficient (if being the top scorer in my batch counts) shooter of the .38" revolver..but i nearly failed my IMT shooting using an arcade M16 system on the 1st day of the shoot! haha...it was really quite embarrassing cos my section mates were like "kok...what happened? i'm surprised the sergeant actually called ur name for the re shoot la.tot you normally shoot quite well?" but guess i found the technique in shooting after that day...and i passed the all important test at the end of the week long session..phew!
week3 down...6 more to go. i've moved up from a 2-fighter to a 3 fighter in the 1st week...and now i'm proud to say i'm a 6 fighter! (go find out urself what that means) but den again...i'm still afraid that i won't perform when needed to.sux!! i gotta train up more!!
kinda regretted something.though i'm still in the midst of consideration...my dudes frm leopard 4 who went for the air force follow-up recruitment talk told me sth : when the criteria to become an air force pilot is to QUALIFY for OCS...it doesn't mean u have to be SELECTED for OCS...you just have to make the grade! hell...the fact that only 2-3 guys per section of 12-13 gets selected into OCS kinda made me not submit my name for the air force thing...but when those guys who went for the follow-up talk told me i do NOT have to be selected by the sergeants (ie i do not have to suck up or be super outstanding in BMT) for OCS, but rather make the grade (ie do well for IPPT, SOC, range, IFC n SIT test etc etc) and i can move on!
to make things worst, air force OCS is so unlike army OCS.the OCS we always hear about (the one at safti where ppl are forced to get gold for ippt, have 72km route marches and kena screwed for a grand period of 9 months b4 being a 2nd Lieutenant) is actually the army OCS...the air force OCS is more skilled base (ie apart from the mandatory basic section leader course in safti, u get to move on to other more specific vocations after that which does not demand a 72km route march and the likes). hell...u get an easier time and come out as a higher paying occifer (accordin to 2WO pandian..haha) ! what kinda deal is that ?! good deal to me!
but unfortunately not every1 gets to be selected...and i, for one, already gave up my chance.sigh...the only consolation is i've signed up for the navy deal (similar in appearance to the airforce one).let's jus hope its as good a deal eh? (though the idea of naval divers being massive etc simply shakes every1 in their underwear)
no specific idea why the navy appeals to me at the moment.possibly the idea of travelling alot and being able to see different countries often while i'm still young fasicinates the adventurous me.and of course, i'll do anything to get away from the forest the army so loves! saw mohawk company coming back from their field camp while i was still in camp.hell...they look like a whole company of prisoners-of-war! they look totally shagged out and totally dazed...and even when they are back in camp, their sergeants and officers are still shouting at them and f***ing them upside down.imagine after 7 days non-stop in the forest of tekong, w/o proper sleep and no bath with no decent food carrying ur FULL battle order..and when u come back u still get shit from everyone.how will u feel ? i will wanna cock my weapon, aim it at an officer, load a mag full of tracers, and illuminate that arsehole shouting at me!! but the mohawk guys simply do as they are told and glumly accept their (unjustified, in my opinion) punishment.on the way up to my bunk, i met a few of them and asked 1 of them sth really stupid...
me :
yo dude, how's field camp?
mohawk guy:
...
(at this moment he only looked at my face with the most dead look i've ever seen from any guy..even a guy who stayed up all night for 2 nights watching soccer will NEVER match his look)
me :
?¿
mohawk guy :
*coughs*
mohawk guy :
all the best to you...
(and the mohawk guy jus slugged his field pack and dragged his boots walking to his bunk..)
man!! what torture sia..whoever said BMT is slack has never seen mohawk company in action.even on the day when they book out, their sergeants still bark at them as if they are some slave dog..the sergeants even look at us and shouted "leopard !!! what's there to look at ?! wanna participate ?!!!" *shivers*
these kinda guys (the mohawk guys..not the screwed up sergeants) deserve respect sia.if they make it into OCS and come out as my officer, i'll give them my respect from my head to my toes and all the way up again. sometimes i think how fortunate of me to be in leopard cos of its relative slackness to ninja and mohawk..budden again i think it is thru these kinda training (the mohawk way) that really brings out the man in every guy. only 1 word for these dudes : RESPECT. totally admire their ability to go thru this kinda training..now i can't wait for my field camp!! haha..
jus heard that chelsea made 88 million pounds worth of losses last season! haha...how amazing! nevertheless man u's still on the good...and it was a very unfortunate loss to chelsea in the carling cup.
oh well...gotta pack my stuff for book in.nxt sat will be a very very late book out...so...sux la.haha...cya peepz! and to all the dudes and girls out there whom i know...i miss u guys sia..
oh n weili, dun bother messaging him liao la.he said he wants to focus on army first..
